How to Get the Most Out Of Your Regular Skincare Routine

You might already have a regular skin care routine that you enjoy and get results with. However, if you are over 40, chances are that the effectiveness of the cream and different massage techniques is declining. If you would like to make sure that you are able to look and feel your best, you can implement some extra steps to improve your skin’s flexibility and detoxify your pores. Here are a few tips for you to consider.

Steam

Steaming is underrated today, and it is very effective when it comes to cleansing your pores. Make sure that you get rid of all the bacteria and close the pores after you have steamed your face. Going to the steam room might also be a good way to give your body the all-round detox cure. After you have used this technique, you should, however, supply your skin with essential oils and vitamins, such as the c60 organic oil that will increase the level of antioxidants in your skin and help it fight bacteria.

Feed Your Body from the Inside

You will also need to support your skin care routine with your diet. If you haven’t yet considered taking vitamin supplements and changing your diet, this might be the time. Eat food that is rich in Vitamins A, C, and D, and reduce the inflammation caused by trauma or pollution. Drinking enough water will also help your skin retain more moisture and reduce the appearance of wrinkles long term.

Detox

Going on a detox cure is the next level of self care. If you have noticed that your metabolism has slowed down (which is somewhat normal over 40), you might need to support your body and digestive system to get rid of toxins and harmful bacteria. Going on a detox doesn’t necessarily need to involve pills. You can simply drink healthy smoothies in the morning, eat plant-based organic products, and drink more water.

Purify Pores

One of the main signs of aging skin is enlarged and blocked pores. They will not only increase your chances of getting spots and blackheads, but also stretch out your skin. There are several good ways to purify your pores using essential oils and antibacterial lotions. Some people say that using black soap is the best way, while others swear to tea tree oil. At the end of the day, you will have to find out for yourself what works for your skin type.

Improve Circulation

When you are doing your regular skin care routine, you will also have to find a way to increase the circulation around your skin cells, so you can stimulate them to produce more collagen and repair the surface. Massage is a proven way to do this, but washing your face with cold and hot water alternating will also work.

If you would like to get more results out of your skincare routine, make sure that you are implementing the above tips.  As your skin ages it responds differently to your usual products; you just might, need to adjust your beauty routine.  The great thing is that trying out new products and new routines can be a lot of fun and a great part of a self-care routine.  So take your time and find what works best for you and your skin type.
